Martlets Defeat Bearcats

The JV Girls delivered another exciting exhibition of great hockey on Saturday afternoon down at Jackson Rink. Even play against a talented Hotchkiss squad resulted in some back and forth action with Hotchkiss netting two goals in the first frame answered only once by a nice shot off the stick of Sophia Eleuteri '28 on and equally smooth pass from Aila Van Dolah '28. But the ice tilted in the second period as Eleuteri found the net again followed soon thereafter by Lucy Wainwright '25 with assist support from Abigail Graham '27. With a fresh sheet of ice and a 3 - 3 score to begin the third period, the game was marked by chances at both ends. Graham lit the lamp for the final time of the game which elevated the play for some electric action at both ends right until the final buzzer. Tilly Lynch '25 was, again, stellar in goal kicking out many challenging shots to preserve the 4-3 lead! Two victories and a tie capped a busy week!
